Franko Rink

Supported by City of Hobart and coordinated by Hobart Social Skates, these pop up roller events happen right in the middle of Hobart at Franklin Square (around the water fountain). Events are held on Sunday (mid morning to lunchtime) a few times a year.

Adult Skate Night

Another event hosted by Hobart Social Skates is the Adult Skate Night. This, as you would expect is for adults who are into skating. Not recommended for first timers though.

Friday Night Disco

The weekly all ages roller disco happens on Friday nights at Woody's Skate & Play. This is a fun night of skating, with disco lights great tunes and nice people. 7:30pm - 10pm.

Wednesday Social Group Skate

Hobart Social Skate (Quads and Inlines) group meets up for a social skate on Wednesday nights. Usually between 7pm-9pm at the Y in Glenorchy. There are some conditions to entry so you are better to join the group and follow their events. They are a very social and beginner friendly group primarily for adults

Sunday Social Group Skate

Hobart Social Skate (Quads and Inlines) group meets up for a social skate most Sunday mornings. Usually between 10am and 12pm at the Y in Glenorchy. There are some conditions to entry so you are better to join the group and follow their events. They are a very social and beginner friendly group primarily for adults

Weekend Skate Park Sessions

Nipaluna Ramp Rollers often have weekend catch ups at different skate parks. This group is inclusive of all roller skaters and Inline bladers and encouraging of those who are just starting out or getting back into it.

Evening City Skates

Hobart Social Skates occasionally runs city skate events during the evening around Hobart streets for more skilled skaters. Check out their group for more details

Roll Dance

The biggest event of the year is Roll Dance. This event is for adults who love to skate and get into the groove with some cool beats. Held at Hobart City Hall, rolling on the hardwood floor is a magical experience. The event is usually limited to 100 people and supported by City of Hobart
